Create a Profile Display Name in iMessage on iPad and iPhone

• First, Launch Messages on your iPad or iPhone.
• Tap the More icon which is on the top left.
• Select Edit Name and Photo.
• Switch on Name & Photo Sharing.

• Open Settings and Click on Apps which are at the bottom.
• Now select Messages.
• Scroll & Click on Share Name and Photo.
• Click the Share Automatically dropdown and Select one of the following:
  • Always Ask: If you want to always be asked if you want to show your name and photo every time you send a text message, select “Always ask.”
  • Contacts Only: Everyone who is in your Contacts will appear automatically display your name and photo when you send a message. To do this, you need to select “Contacts only”

When you share your latest iMessage Profile, then the recipient will be asked to update your Contact in the Contacts App. If they do not do that, they are not able to see your latest profile information.

How to Turn OFF or hide Name and Photo Sharing on iMessage
